This Old pagan ritual is performed ever year earlyBulgarian first spring. The ritual is to chase away evil spirts of winter and ensure a good harvest. Men dress up in imal costumes and wear masks.
all Villages and towns celebrate Kukerov Den.
Teams Enter the Jambol from all over Europe.
Limited Places 200 pounds per person.
Storks arrival back in the village over the last few days the locals say that is the sign of spring is here about time to it has been the longest and hardest winter for 85 years some villages say. Time to start planting some fruit and veg.

I can only say one thing ...WOW ... and you must have some pretty wonderful pictures in your home.
The time and effort you took for this picture was worth every penny, every second, every inch you crawled.
I can't wait for our queue to get down to your photo and have it featured on our site ... plus, I am certain it will end up being selected as one of the finalists that get voted on for the *Photo of the Month*.
And I would be surprised if any other photo managed to get more votes for that particular month!!

Mountain Bikes now at the cottage for holiday use one mans and one ladies.

Film about a village family traditional pig killing and celabration. Each year families kill a pig for the winter food, myself and my wife Andrea were invited to the days events which i photograph and made a a short 20 minute documentary film sadly in years to come a lot of village traditions will disappeared.
