Cliff,s Images

About the Images
Starting with an old Nikon camera from a second hand shop money earned by his paper round as a boy, Cliff spent the first 15 years of his career shooting film. After many countless hours working in darkrooms processing, developing, and printing photographs, Cliff made the switch to digital photography in 1995.

Photography means “painting with light”, and just as film photography used chemicals to capture light, digital uses electronics to do the same. Using the computer as a digital darkroom, Cliff only does to his images what can be traditionally done in darkroom.

I believe in ethics in photography, which is why I do not digitally composite my photographs. The world is beautiful enough as it is, without the need to create images that do not accurately represent the world.

I will on occasion use digital effect in some of my photography to illustrate a certain image; but I will never add a person to a place that they actually were not at.

We live in a digital age, and there is a lot of dishonesty in photography, but it is my pledge, promise, and guarantee to you that I present the image as I saw it.

You look through the fame and shoot was is their no more no less.

In this section you will see some of cliff news images and personal work.
